FM Radio Emergency Communication System – CoSer 640

The FM Radio Emergency Communication System provides schools and districts with an additional method of communication during emergency situations. It is designed to support timely information sharing when traditional communication systems may be limited, unavailable, or disrupted.

Communication matters most when every second counts.

During an emergency, schools may need to share important updates with staff, families, students, transportation teams, emergency responders, and the broader community. An FM radio-based system can help provide another layer of communication by allowing critical messages to be distributed through a familiar and accessible broadcast format.

This system can be especially valuable during weather-related emergencies, power outages, network interruptions, major incidents, or situations where internet, phone, or cellular services are unreliable. While it does not replace existing emergency communication tools, it strengthens the overall communication plan by adding redundancy and reach.

The purpose is simple: keep people informed. Clear communication helps reduce confusion, supports coordinated response efforts, and provides communities with trusted information when they need it most.

The FM Radio Emergency Communication System helps schools prepare for the unexpected. By adding another communication pathway, districts can improve emergency readiness, support public safety, and help ensure that important messages continue to reach the people who need them.
