Health Safety and Risk Management – CoSer 608

Health Safety and Risk Management supports schools and districts by helping create safer, healthier, and more prepared learning environments. The work is practical, preventive, and essential.

Schools are responsible for protecting students, staff, visitors, and facilities every day. That responsibility includes planning, training, compliance, prevention, emergency readiness, and ongoing support. Health Safety and Risk Management helps districts identify potential risks, respond to concerns, and strengthen procedures that support safe school operations.

This service may include support with safety planning, workplace health and safety practices, emergency preparedness, regulatory compliance, inspections, training coordination, accident prevention, risk assessments, and guidance related to district safety procedures. Each area plays a role in helping schools reduce hazards and respond more effectively when issues arise.

Preparation matters. So does consistency.

By working with districts, administrators, staff, and regional partners, Health Safety and Risk Management helps promote a culture of safety across school communities. The goal is not only to respond to problems, but to prevent them whenever possible through planning, communication, education, and continuous improvement.

At its core, Health Safety and Risk Management helps schools protect people and maintain safe, supportive environments for teaching and learning. It provides the guidance, structure, and support districts need to manage risk responsibly and keep school communities moving forward with confidence.
